Who thinks longer t/v advertising breaks will increase the quality of programmes?
The normal expectancy of advertising for one hour of programme is 9 minutes, however the governing regulators are seeing an increase of this time and have recently voiced their concerns. As a watcher of tv with advertisements I think three slots of three minutes is enough, its the timing of the ads that irritate, some of the non mainstream freeview channels seem to have their own laws, also satellite stations.Long breaks distract, too many short breaks distract, its getting the balance right and the timing.
