Who thinks that MARIJUANA should be legalized just like alcohol.?
Alcohol causes liver damage leading to death. Marijuana causes personality change leading to schizophrenia which can lead to sectioning should one ever likely to cause harm to self or others. I personally wouldn’t like to travel in a plane, car, bus or train by someone under the influence of same nor would I like to be operated on or get my teeth fixed by someone under the influence of same.
The benefits are for those with serious illnesses like cancer, AIDS, glaucoma, etc. There is no benefit for normal people, just risks. As far as Europe, people need to study their laws a little more. A relaxed standard in one city in Europe (whose leaders are currently rethinking that) is not typical of the continent. In fact, many countries laws against marijuana are considerably more draconian than in the USA. That said, I personally think it’s stupid to enact blanket prohibitions on most anything. Create laws to govern its use to protect the non-users, but allow the use by those who choose to be stupid.
