Volunteers at Frye are men and women, ranging in age from teenage to senior citizen. They are students, homemakers, retirees as well as professionals holding full and part-time jobs who are interested in giving back to their community through volunteerism. Through the program, volunteers have the opportunity to meet new people, develop lasting friendships, take advantage of educational opportunities, and enjoy new experiences. Volunteers work throughout the hospital and have different kinds of responsibilities; but they all have one thing in common: A desire to help others. The VolunTEEN Program: During the summer months, interested teenagers have the opportunity to volunteer at Frye Regional Medical Center. Teens are provided with a number of volunteer opportunities including staffing the information desk and gift shop, and providing support to staff and patients in numerous areas of the hospital. Teens must be 14 years of age by June 1 of the year they are volunteering to be eligible
