Who was taken first look at 2010 ford taurus?
The 2010 Ford Taurus SHO is not a production car; Ford looks at it as more of a preproduction prototype. There are so many great things to talk about on the car, but it is the new Ecoboost V-6 engine that we are most interested in. The car certainly goes fast, and that is evident with the amount of tire squealing and how fast the scenery was passing by when Inside Line was taken out for a test drive with Christina Rodriguez. The 2010 Ford Taurus SHO was first spoken about at 2009 Chicago Auto Show, so it is nice to see that the car is coming on. The centerpiece of the car has to be that sexy engine, with its twin-turbo 3,496cc V6, which helps to produce 365 horsepower. The EcoBoost system, which is Ford’s name for its direct injection and turbocharging system, the result is improved fuel economy thanks to a balance of good throttle response and good power. Motortrend took the first look at the newly redesigned 2010 Ford Taurus. With a big push from CEO Alan Mulally, the 2010 Taurus has been redesigned to target aspirational buyers once again. Families go elsewhere for their utilitarian transport these days — mostly to crossover sport/utilities. The new Taurus looks longer, lower, and wider, because it is lower, at least, and its styling borrows side surfacing from the rear-drive Interceptor concept, which proved too costly for Ford to build in these trying times. Overhangs are shorter than the Lincoln MKS’s. Like the ’10 Fusion, the new Taurus mixes the North American three-bar grille design with Ford of Europe’s three-trapezoid lower fascia.
