I think it was on the 2nd round of Tyra Bank’s show, there was a black girl chosen. But there have been Black models in the mainstream of fashion all the way back to the 70’s with Naomi Sims., B. Smith, Eman. . .It has been difficult for black models because of the American standards of beauty. Fortunately, the models are becoming more diversified and the blue-eyed blond is not as accepted is she was.
