The Rolex 24 at Daytona, also called the 24 Hours of Daytona, is a 24-hour race car test of endurance. The first event, held in1962, was a three-hour race won by Dan Gurney. In 1966, British driver Ken Miles and American Lloyd Ruby drove as The Shelby-American Team and won the first 24-hour distance race.
