Isaiah is the most quoted prophet in modern and ancient scripture. Even Jesus Christ quoted Isaiah. The Savior paid the ultimate compliment when he said ‘Great are the words of Isaiah’. Isaiah died in 701. Tradition says he was martyred. He was encased in a tree and ‘sawed asunder’.
