FEMA is supporting initial conformity assessments through a contract with Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) and Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). This test phase will take place at the SAIC Incident Management Test and Evaluation Laboratory (IMTEL), located in Somerset, Kentucky. The IMTEL staff consists of a test manager, test analyst/writer, test engineers, and information technology (IT) personnel. Test engineers specialize in testing the product’s adherence to the Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards (OASIS) Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) v1.2 USA IPAWS “Profile” v1.0 as a consumer, producer, or both a consumer and producer of profile messages.
