Who will make the final decision whether or not to do the exchange?
The Alaska Regional Director for the Fish and Wildlife Service will decide whether the Fish and Wildlife Service should continue with a land exchange. His decision will be based on information in the Final EIS, recommendations from Service employees who are familiar with the proposal, input from the public, consultations with the tribal governments in the Yukon Flats, and advice from the Bureau of Land Management (the cooperating agency for the project).
