Christopher Bollyn is an American who was born in, raised, and lived in Hoffman Estates until he left the country in 2007. He was attacked on his front lawn in 2006 by police for simply calling 911 and complaining about threatening men driving around in his neighborhood. After being violently thrown to the ground, and an officer kneeling on his head he was Tasered without justification, with his small daughter extremely traumatized by this event of seeing her father attacked by a group of heavily armed men who did not identify themselves. He was then charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest, falsely defamed at trial as a drunk (he is not a drunk) and as a man who falsely makes accusations to provoke police, which is an unbelievable fantasy. However due to prosecutorial misconduct, tampering with evidence, and outrageous judicial rulings allowing this he was convicted in 2007.
