Panel members come from a variety of healthcare and cultural competency backgrounds. The members include Joint Commission staff, researchers, public servants and policymakers, interpreters, physicians, a linguist, a medical anthropologist, representatives from healthcare associations, advocates, academics, and hospital staff and administrators.
