Who will win a fight between lion and a tiger?
A fight between a lion and a tiger can go either way if both are healthy. There are numerous records of fights between them, since many people in the past have wanted the answer to this question and tried to settle it by cruelly pitting them against each other. In some cases the tiger won, in some cases the lion. There are various books that state one or or the other was always the victor, but you have to take into account that the author may well be biased in one direction when reading these books. If you study the actual historic records (as I have), they clearly show that tigers won some fights, and lions won others. The largest tigers are larger and stronger than the largest lions, but not by such a margin that they could easily defeat a lion. There is some degree of overlap in size between the species, and depending on subspecies the lion might actually be the larger and stonger of the two (for example, the average lion is bigger than the average Sumatran tiger).
