Who would between marvin hagler and roy jones junior both in their prime?
In their primes, Jones had the style that would really trouble Hagler. He had exceptionally fast hands and feet and he would have to use those advantages every second of every round. Hagler had a solid chin and Jones would know that so he wouldn’t even try for the KO. He would fight very cautiously like he did against Hopkins. I rank Hagler as overall a better fighter but styles make fights and Jones style would be too difficult for Hagler. It would be similar to the Hagler-Leonard fight. Jones would pile up the points early and Hagler would start to come on in the 2nd half of the fight. In a 15 round fight, there is a possibiity that Hagler would break through late and finally catch up to Jones. I would favor Jones in a close, possibly split decision.
