Who would win, an Indian Red Scorpion vs goliath bird-eating spider?
Hi Bryan…based on what I’ve searched throughout the Internet, “theoretically” I would have to state that the Indian Red Scorpion would have a better chance. This particular scorpion’s venom venom can penetrate easiest after contact where the goliath bird-eating spider’s venom generally causes swelling and several hours of discomfort (at least in humans- see website below) therefore, I have to assume it could affect the Indian Red the same way. Realistically, tarantulas are not known to usually attack scorpions, therefore the spider unlikely would win. Additionally, both species are located in different continents. The Goliath Bird-eating spider is found in the northern South American countries of Suriname, Brazil, Guyana & Venezuela, whereas the scorpion os located in India.
