CT: That should be on the poster. I appreciated that the movie isn’t two hours of people crying or a lot of sentimental clichés. How disappointed were you that you didn’t get to chase each other down at an airport, like, “Don’t get on that plane!”? AS: Yeah, you know what: I like “The Bodyguard.” CT: [Whispers] I do too. AS: It’s like one of my favorite movies. But yeah, it doesn’t need to go that far. I think there’s a way you can have the audience not have to feel that. You don’t necessarily need to be so literal about everything. What does the term “chick flick” mean to you in relation to “Dear John”? CT: I think it’s a couples flick. I don’t think it’s a chick flick. It’s not a bro movie.
