Whos at fault when a car turning left hits you when its a yellow light?
The truck turning left should have yeilded to the driver going straight, but he was probably already in the intersection, blocking the traffic to his left (I hate when people do that!) and probably thought you were going to stop, and maybe you should have both stopped, and he shouldn’t have been in the intersection. It’s hard to say, since we don’t know when the light turned yellow. Also, I know a bad intersection where sometimes when one side turns red, the other direction gets a green left turn arrow, but sometimes there’s a glitch and that direction actually gets a red light first and the other direction stays green. Sometimes all one side will get a red light, and then it will turn green again without letting any other direction go. Sound confusing? It is, because no one knows what is going to happen with these lights at any given time, and unless they drive through there every day several times a day, they don’t know about this glitch, and they think they can predict the lights.
