As the first manufacturer to the hybrid pickup truck party, GM has had its hands full with reviewers, the media, truck enthusiasts, skeptics, and anyone else who cares about the current state of the economy. The truck itself, in both its Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra variants, has been gone over with multiple fine-tooth combs, and with reviews, performance figures, and truck specs all out on the table, the only real question remaining is who is going to buy the hybrid trucks? They cost more than standard Silverado and Sierra trucks because of the hybrid technology, but it won't hurt as badly at the pump. It won't tow and carry as much either, but some reviewers have stated the driving characteristics of the hybrid trucks make towing a breeze.
