Whose flat pack furniture is better Argos or Ikea (UK only please)?
No doubt about it …Ikea flat pack furniture is better than similar products from Argos. Ikea products will last longer, are more robustly designed and tend to be made from better materials. I have been very satisfied with Ikea products. I have had some OK products from Argos, but nothing to write home about. Focus DIY is also worth a look at, since I have bought some good solid flat pack furniture from them as well. If any of the items you are interested in are on display (this is unlikely in Argos, but very possible in Focus and Ikea, don’t be shy …lean your weight on the units, open doors and try to twist the doors slightly, pull hard on unit tops, check for any movement that isn’t supposed to happen. If the sales folk complain to you, what have they got to hide?
