whose idea was the H.G. Wells UFO doodle series?
Michael: Humbly, it was my idea. I’m a science fiction fan, as well as movie buff and when I realized Herbert’s birthday was drawing near, I wanted to do something fun and different. The inspiration came from an Orson Welles, “War of the Worlds” radio broadcast in the 1930s. The broadcast was a radio version of “War of the Worlds” that created quite a stir amongst its listeners. Ultimately, The H.G. Wells doodles series was our way of giving our users something fun and exciting, while paying tribute to one of the greatest science fiction writers of all time.
