Unless you are capable of completing a few years of school in a few months time, my guess is what you really want to know is who is likely to be paid more in the future – engineers (you need to be more specific here since engineers are now in computer systems, electrical/mechanical design etc) or accountants. You also should indicate where you are talking about, my guess is you are in Great Britain. Knowing what they make now will not promise what they will make in the future, it will simply give you some idea of what looks attractive now. A quick example is a train engineer isn’t much in demand anymore in the states due to automation and limited use, it’s a very limited field from a growth potential. With rising gasoline costs, if the government suddenly decided to start funding mass transit, that could quickly become a growth area in 2 years.
