Why a joint comprehensive plan between Harrietstown and Saranac Lake?

0

The members of the town and village boards appointed the Comprehensive Planning Committee to develop an intermunicipal plan between Harrietstown and Saranac Lake. In our small communities, intermunicipal planning makes sense it provides a basis for consistent land use guidelines to simplify development and it promotes shared services. In fact, the original Comprehensive Plan (still used by the Town and completed in 1967), was a joint plan.
