Why A Magic Mom & Her Mandalas?
I have three wonderful children and a lovely daughter-in-law. Someone once called me ‘a magic mom’. I thought it was kinda neat. (I’m also the proud grandmother of two beautiful granddaughters!) What is a mandala? A mandala is a type of eastern art, often used for meditation. It is usually a geometric pattern, design or piece of artwork that represents the cosmos. I use a compass now to draw my circle, and go from there. I’ve done so many, I have a basic template so I don’t have to always measure to find the center point. I use permanent markers, and a metallic gold or silver pen. I have my drawing table in front of a window so there’s plenty of natural light, and I like to listen to music while I draw.
