Firstly, ensure you are using a version of Phantasm CS Designer, Studio or Publisher intended for Illustrator CS4 or CS5. To do so, check your original order details (the Invoice Reminder on the product upgrade page can provide this information). This known issue is very simple to fix; simply quit Adobe Illustrator CS5 and restart. This is a permenant fix and is related to Illustrator needing to first establish a settings file which isn’t present on a clean install or if Illustrator’s settings have been lost.
