Why are africanized honey bees invasive species?

0

Primarily because they basically took over the jobs of passive Honey Bees that were native to the Americas before the Africanized Species arrived. Africanized bees produce honey at a substantially greater rate than their non-stinging counterparts and so honey farmers are often forced to used the new breed of stinging bees to maintain high productivity. Any species not native to an area that replaces a native specie’s niche in that ecosystem is considered invasive.
