Why are all towers (like mobile tower, radio tower) are painted with colors red and white?
the F.C.C. has been given the authority by congress to require the painting and or illumination of antenna towers when it determines that such towers may otherwise constitute a menace to air navigation the F.C.C’s rules governing antenna tower lighting and painting requirements are base upon the advisory recommendations of the F.A.A. F.A.A. standards are advisory /the F.C.C. rules make the standard Mandatory. the colors are selected due their visibility characteristics red during day white in darker enviroment the light is also a mandatory requirement by Federal Communication Commision as an added visual identifying source. Federal Aviation Administration is required to advise the F.C.C upon their request,the determination of a proposed towers hazards to aviation traffic,F.A.A. considers location,height ,safety marking and lighting.
