I own a Bible and I’m not even Christian: it was given to me as a child. There are also many different versions of the Bible: translated from different sources, translated into different languages, using different grammatical forms (such as children’s Bibles and Bibles using very modern English versus King James English), having or not having commentary in it, etc. The Koran is supposed to be read in Arabic. Many Muslims are against having it translated at all, and each word is to be copied exactly: there is no be no taking liberty with the text at all in order to clarify for modern readers.
