Why are christians against cremation?

I don’t think Christians are against cremation. There may be some that are against it from different denominations, but I think it is more of a personal belief than an overall belief. Again, I have never heard of any denomination being against it, unless it’s those crazy catholics.

I am a Christian and a minister of the gospel and I have no issue with cremation. I want to explain a scripture to you and then you can draw your own conclusions. Here is the scripture: Genesis 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for D U S T thou art, and unto D U S T shalt thou return. Now stop and think of SKELETONS which are exhumed which are thousands of years old. They are not dust nor are they soil from which God says we are formed. To get dust from human remains takes BURNING them…..Correct? Irrespective of that, if God created us from earth / dust…it is pretty irrelevant when you consider that HE will give us a NEW HEAVENLY BODY. Philippians 3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. Trust this helps you.
