Why Are Dehydrated Foods Considered Raw?
Many people on the raw food diet take advantage of dehydrating because it does not subject the various foods to the extreme temperatures of cooking. Dehydrating is often times used to help bring different textures to a meal or to prepare fruit or veggie snacks that will not go bad as quickly as they would if they were not put through the dehydrating process. It is important to make sure that the temperature of the food never reaches one hundred and eighteen degrees or it is no longer considered raw.
