Because of federal money being thrown at the concept of using ethanol to replace gasoline. The concept is flawed because ANY use of alcohol in fuel DECREASES mileage severely. Ethanol actually costs more energy to produce than the energy it releases in an engine. The approaching global warming will render ALL crops in the near future to be inefficient due to unpredictable weather changes. Very impractical.
