Developers have been praising the ease of developing for the PC as compared to consoles. The Xbox uses DirectX API’s & an x86 CPU which are no doubt familiar to thousands of coders around the world. Coders will not have to learn how to program a custom-made CPU when programming for Xbox, as they will have to with the PlayStation2 or to a lesser extent, the Gamecube.
