In an economic situation where the jobs are few one cannot be too choosy. Jobs might be more difficult to get in big companies than in small companies like startups because some daring entrepreneurs went out and started on their own and some have ventured into frontier technologies where priority is given for funding by federal government. Therefore, it is better to make an attempt in both small businesses and big companies, compare them to see which is better in what aspects and which suits us the best. For an employee willing to take risk small companies like the startups may suit very well and give them a chance to try out some new ideas where as for those who would want to be relatively secure and less burdened with long hours the bigger companies may be the way to go.
