Why are Lawyers despised?

The thing is, most decent people, at their very cores, know that legalism is a foul thing, and hate it, and so they hate lawyers as a result. In our every day lives most of us never come face to face with problems caused by laws, but when we do, we first turn to a lawyer. They’re necessary evils – both the laws (at least some of them) and the lawyers that study them and keep us safe from them.
