Why are little girls made to wear heavy makeup, poofy hair, and tacky-looking dresses in beauty pageants?
The term “beauty pageant” becomes a misnomer when small girls are made to wear makeup, poofy hair, and tacky-looking dresses. After all, children are naturally gorgeous, and the main reason why makeup exists is so that adults can hide the flaws that come about through puberty or aging, which are two things that these small girls still have yet to contend with. Not only that, but the heavy makeup and outrageous dresses make the girls look like clowns.
