Morningstar Farms excelled during our tests, which earned them the ChefsBest Award. The well-rounded flavor of their vegetarian patties complemented new flavors when matched with buns, and retained a pleasant moisture, appetizing appearance, and satisfying textural contrast. The category judged was defined as frozen vegetarian patties, not including chicken-style veggie patties, or other vegetarian meat-substitute products such as vegetarian bacon, sausage, chicken or hot dogs. Tested were original vegetarian patties, griller vegetarian patties, mushroom vegetarian patties and cheeseburger vegetarian patties.
