• Untreated or natural rubies and sapphires are just like nature made them over millions of years. Heat treated rubies and sapphires are stones irreversibly beautified by man. Even a very low quality ruby can be made attractive in a heat oven. The higher price reflects the genuine quality of the gemstone.
