Why are Nike Shox considered ad by everyone?

They’re usually viewed as a gimmick shoe more than anything, and they’re primarily marketed to kids rather than to “serious” runners. They do tend to promote a running form that isn’t considered healthy, too, unlike can occur with things like the Nike Frees. Running shoes are something that need to be functionally safe and correct first and foremost, and the Shox usually aren’t viewed that way. Many of those who try them also eventually end up reporting significant injury or discomfort — so much so that most running specialty stores won’t even bother to carry them even if they carry other Nike shoes. When it comes to Nikes, you’ll tend to see the elite road runners in things like the Vomeros (especially the 2’s before), and more recently in some of the Lunar models (which are based on the same last as the Frees). You will never see them even thinking of the Shox though, and for good reason.

they aren’t bad for just wearing, but they are bad for running in. the shoe design promotes injury when you wear them to run in. they elevate your heel above the rest of your foot forcing you to heel-strike (your heel is the first part of your foot to hit the ground) which puts an incredible amount of stress on your bones and joints in the leg. The natural way to run is to mid-foot strike, but the shox prevent you from doing this. Imagine trying to run in high-heels and it is the same basic concept.
