Why are only entrants from certain countries eligible?
The contest is now closed. Laws and regulations governing contests vary from country to country and jurisdiction to jurisdiction. Given these differences, we regret that it isn’t always possible to include all jurisdictions in contests of this nature. This is not to say we don’t appreciate bug reports from developers in non-eligible countries! We are very grateful for all contributions. Regrettably, we can not include every country in the contest, for reasons outside of our control. If you are a not eligible to participate because of your country of residence, please consider submitting your regression anyway using our standard bug submission form, even though you will not be eligible to win a prize. Your contribution will improve the quality of Java SE for everyone.
