Why are people so reticent to discuss personal clinical depression?

Because the more i talk about it, the more i seriously just want to off myself. Also, i hate other people knowing my problems, and or even trying to help me with them. I cant stand when other people feel down by something i did either. So depression stays in, i get worse, then it just comes out in rage and ruins everyones day. Lots of people who haven’t been thru it wouldnt understand, and therefore probably will just make the situation worse by not knowing what to do, or saying the completely wrong/asinine thing at the perfectly wrong time, making the entire situation worse. Its just a bad situation for everyone involved.
