Why are perpetual machines impossible to build?
According Newton’s third law, for each in every action, there’s an equal and opposite reaction. If you’re asking why it’s impossible to make a, lets say… perpetual car that can go unlimited number of miles with limited fuel, it’s impossible because the force generated from the chemical reaction in the combustion chamber is converted to kinetic energy. So the gasoline–>motion. Technically, there should be a possible way to convert that energy back into gasoline if you convert the motion back into gas. But too much energy is lost because it’s not converted 100% gas–>motion. Instead, lots of energy is lost via friction, heat, and light. If you somehow manage to convert those energies back, then you should have a perpetual car, so to speak. However, if you’re asking the kind of perpetual machines that produce more energy than they use, that’s simply impossible. There is no creation or destruction. Only conversion. That’s what machines are for, they convert energy. I hope that answers y
