Why are pharmaceutical companies allowed to advertise?

0

Because they lobbied your politician with millions of dollars. In most other countries they are not allowed to advertise. However, in many other countries cigarettes can be advertised anywhere – in the US there are now many limits on where cigarettes can be advertised. For example, when is the last time you saw a cigarette ad on TV? Maybe 1985 or something like that.
