Why are the Royal Academy of Music and the Open University missing from the League Table?

You could have also mentioned other respected places like Cranfield University, the business schools, other specialist institutions of art, music and medicine, plus the colleges and institutes of higher education. Most of the UK’s higher education institutions are featured in our University Profiles. However, some (including the Royal Academy of Music) are in the Subject Tables but not in the League Table because comparison would be inappropriate or not possible. The League Tables are compiled with full-time university undergraduates in mind and so institutions like the Open University and Birkbeck College – which exist only for distance learning and part-time students respectively – are not there.
