Why are there handicapped parking spots in front of ice skating rinks?

Handicapped parents can drop off their kids. Handicapped grandparents can come watch their grandkids. Handicapped arena employees (announcer, etc) need a place to park. Open your mind and maybe use your brain. You seem very closed minded. Plus, as ‘someone’ reminded me, the arena is required by law to have at least one handicapped spot, then a certain number of additional spots per normal parking spots in the lot.
