Why are there more animal fossils than plant fossils?

it has to do with the makeup of plants vs animals. plants have fairly soft cells, and cell walls that decompose before fossilization can occur, animals have bones and cartiledge that dont break down as much before the fossilization can occur, but thier muscles and skin breaks down just like a plant would.
