Some historical GOES data in CLASS will have multiple data sets for a particular scan time. This condition occurred when several attempts were made to rescue data from the aging video cassettes. The multiple datasets were given a number appended to the end of the file name (e.g. -2, -3). Eventually, these files will be merged into one “good” file. In the meantime, the user will be able to see and select all of the files and determine which one is most useable after the data are delivered.
