Why are there no ticker symbols on investment option performance?
AIG VALIC variable annuity funds are not publicly traded and so do not use symbols. Variable annuity funds are listed in many local newspapers. The following three publications also provide performance information for our investment options: Morningstar, Barron’s and Lipper. Barron’s may be found at local newsstands or bookstores every Monday. Morningstar and Lipper offer their services by subscription only, and are most commonly used by industry professionals. Performance for the underlying funds within AIG VALIC’s Portfolio Director contracts are listed every Monday in the Wall Street Journal within the variable annuities section under “VARIABLE ANNUITY LIFE INS.” The investment options are listed by abbreviated name, rather than by ticker symbol.
