Why are there plus sized models but no short models?
Unfortunately ANTM has been brainwashing our youth! There are short models, just the models that get all the publicity are fashion and editorial models (the models they look for on all those modeling TV show [ex: Gemma Ward, Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, etc]. Commercial modeling is another division of modeling that does not require that models be extremely tall, usually 5’4”+. Also, petite modeling is a much much smaller industry of the market than plus sized modeling and of course editorial/fashion modeling. Check out modelinginfoclick.blogspot.com. Oh, and just genetics! Annoying, right? And it ISNT fair that modeling is so picky, but that’s what clients want, they’re trying to sell something, and the representative of the company to the public (the model) needs to fit the part physically.
