Because there is one thing that Composers could not have in their hands, that mathematicians could not fit on a calculator, that engineers would not put on the bench, that inventors should not put near there work, that chess players have no time for and programmers have no room for:- The make up bag!

I’m a math major and i get my bachelor’s degree in math after spring 2008 semester is over. In all the math classes that i take over 99% of students are male. And not just the students, but the professor will be male too. Females simply cannot handle math. I will be blamed as sexist by other answerers, but thats what the statistics show and reality speaks of that too. Furthermore, mathematician is a totally male dominated profession and at least 95% of mathematicians will be male. And even in mathematicians being male, there will be some few shortages. For example here are the statistics of people who earned a doctoral degree in mathematics from 2004 to 2005. Of the 1,116 doctorates awarded by U.S. mathematics departments in 2004-5, 434 of them — or 39 percent — went to Americans, according to the math society’s survey. Of those recipients, one was American Indian, 21 were Asian, 14 were black, 12 were Hispanic, and three were Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islanders. Women made up 2

If you look at the entire world’s population, you also find that there are also very few male composers, mathemeticians, engineers, chess players, and programmers. Out of about three billion males, only a handful of them are any of those things. Most of the rest work in agriculture, factories, construction, trade jobs, or are hunter-gatherers. SX 24, math isn’t nearly as difficult to learn as a foreign language. In math, you have rules and they always apply. Everything is logical and organized. When you study a foreign language, you will find there are rules and just as many exceptions to those rules. All languages have intricacies that are unique to them. You have to learn them and know where to apply them when necessary. Women seem to have more of an ability to learn languages than men. If anything, I consider the comment about not being as able to learn math not that insulting.
