OK I think I get what your asking but it’s going to be a long answer. When the Earth first existed there were no dogs or animals of any kind (I don’t believe the Bible version of the world being created as it is 6000 years ago).The first canine species-early relatives of foxes and wolves etc-evolved many millions of years ago.Eventually modern species such as the wolf and jackal and foxes evolved as did some recently extinct species like the dire wolf (bigger and more powerfully built than a modern wolf but probably much slower and more of a scavenger-it died out about 10,000 years ago.)Then modern humans evolved not much more than a million years ago. The first interaction between humans and wild canines was probably from scavenging the left overs of each others hunts.The wolf is almost certainly the direct ancestor of the dog (though early dogs may have crossbred with wolves close wild relatives such as the jackal, coyote and dire wolf and modern dogs may still contain a little of th
