Why are women not allowed to drive a car in Saudi Arabia? Only Muslims answers please?
Assalamu Alaikum Most of the Saudi women having lived all their lives do not want to drive. They are treated like queens with shauffers driving them where ever they want to go. To them diriving is not as important as women in west calling driving is freedom. They don’t give driving license to women fearing of their daughters might start meeting boys before marriage if they can freely go where ever they want to driving their own cars. To western men ability to go any where is more important but in Saudi Arabia Promiscuous life style is absolutely not acceptable by any segment of society. They don’t want to see what happens in west – girls having sex in high school age, having illigitimate children, abortions and divorces. Child birth before marriage happens there also but secretly and not so often. If a girl is known to be unwed mother, no one will marry her and life will be hell. She can’t abort her pregnancy.
