Why are women not allowed to join the Royal Marines?
I found your question quite interesting, and the answers even more interesting. I don’t know why female soldiers are not allowed to join the Royal Marines. Females make great soldiers because we were trained to do 12 things at once since we were babies. To say that women are not as strong as men is funny. We are in most cases mentally stronger than men, even in a war time environment. I may not have been able to lift everything the guys did, but I never used it as an excuse not to do my job. While they might not want women in an infantry situation, they could do a support job. As far as the “rape” excuse, women get raped by soldiers from their own company, so while that is an issue, it is the soldiers you are serving with that you have to worry about. I think if a female can pass the test, and they are willing to join, they should be allowed to join.
